Sleepy Hollow a small town on the outskirts of the western woods has been haunted by the story of the Hessian mercenary that rides to the town at night taking heads at will. However it has always been a story a horror story the parents told their children so they where back before dark.
But now the storys have come to life and the horseman is out for revenge, hes killed once taking Grace Van Garrets head while she collected herbs for the kitchen and now he’s out to kill again. No one knows why or who has summed the horseman but people are afraid. No one will leave the house after dark and anyone caught doing witchcraft will be hanged as a suspect of commanding the horseman.
The people of Sleepy Hollow have resided there for hundreds of years and there’s not a family there that isn’t related by marriage or blood! It’s rare that new families arrive! But if they do they are welcomed!

The Rules
1. Please DO NOT PM me asking if you can be a mod or Admin, I will decide for those I feel are active and that I trust.
2. No racial, nationalistic, sexual, or any type of discrimination will be tolerated on this forum. This rule most importantly if broken will get you banned faster than you can say Quidditch! Get it? Got it? Good!
3. Keep all advertisments in our advertising section. That is what it is there for and that is where it should stay. This includes the chat box! I dont want to see things like 'join my new site!' or 'im looking for staff!' it annoys me so dont do it!
4. First password red, PLEASE KEEP reading for the second password, i am sick and tired of replying to pms saying that the board password doesnt work. There are two if you keep reading you will find the second put the words together to enter the board.
5. I ask that you keep swearing and any foul language to a minimum. I understand that your characters will be using it but every other word is a bit extreme. This is a Literate roleplay forum and I don't consider cursing in every sentence literate or in anyway intelligent.
6. No spamming, flooding, or- double posting - is allowed there is an edit button use it!
7. Please Dont bug people to reply to your posts, if they havent replied within two days you may send them a pm to ask them to reply.
8. You may make two accounts at the most please if you have a female character and wish to make a second account for a charrie please make it a male as we never have enough males.
9. If you get into a arguement with another member DO NOT bring it into the rp or anywhere on this forum.
10. You are allowed to post mature content. This is pertaining only to posts no pornographic links or pictures are allowed anywhere on this forum. But if you do post mature content please give a warning to others who may find it offensive or take it to a locked forum so you can have privacy. Now when I say mature I mean exactly that. I don't want to see any childish smut that is in no way mature but nasty and uncreative. What I mean by this is basically whole pages of F*** my P***Y over and over and filthy talk. That isn't mature, sounds mature to those who can't differentiate but it isn't. In real life that type of thing only happens when the person is young or a sleeper/very *friendly* person/easy etc. No offence ment but please keep it mature.
11. Your posts MUST have at least three paragraphs, 30 words at least in each. If I find anyone not doing at least this you will recieve a warning.
12. You may not by any means control the thoughts, actions, or emotions of any character but your on. This is known as G-Modding (Not to be confused with Global Moderators ) or God-Modding and is rarely ever tolerated on any forum let alone the more advanced ones.
13. I will not be allowing any Mary-Sue's or Gary-Stu's. For those of you who don't know what a Mary-Sue or Gary-Stu is, they are what is refered to in the fanfiction world as 'The perfect character.'
A Mary-sue is usually flawlessly beautiful, she is kind and as sweet as honey. Everyone loves her even her enemies though they don't think they're worthy. Despite being so incredibly kind she can easily insult even the most intelligent of people with her 'scathing' remarks which usually consist of 'Shut up you meany!'
A Gary-Stu is unbelievably handsome (Think all those pop boys put together.) a rebel who can break the rules, and back talk all his teachers to the extremes and yet never get punished. He is gifted in all his subjects but he usually doesn't pay attention and yet still swings top grades. He is a loner who trusts no one but is surprisingly dating one of the main female characters.
I will not allow these if you make a profile that is Mary/Gary Suish I will inform you in your profile and help you make your character more realistic. Sorry but that is the rule.
14. Pregnancies, marrages, etc. is allowed. But please inform a admin/mod of your plans in advance. So I can give it the heads up.
15. No out of character or ooc talk in the roleplay. If you have something you need to say then put OOC or (( )) with your SHORT message and then Bic and continue rping. No magor conversations or things not pertaining to the rp are allowed anywhere but the out of character area.
16. To make sure you read the rules through and through the second word so you can make your profile is rose
17. You must write in third person, meaning I don't want to see. I walked to the forest etc. That is perfectly fine in stories but in the rp it can become more annoying than anything. So keep it third person thank you.
18. When you start a new rp topic or want to join one make sure you either put a tag or open, Amy/Gary or whoever you want to rp with in the topic discription. This allows your fellow rper's to know whether or not it's okay for them to join.
19. Once you see a character is taken they are taken. There will be no exceptions to this rule you must take another character. I do not want to see anyone trying to make different versions of that characters name it will be deleted sorry.
20. This is vital For Cannons, YOU MUST BE ACTIVE if you are unactive then I will put your character on a list and if I dont see you posting or hear anything from you your character will be up for people to take. I have the right to deleate your account if you are inactive.
21. Character deaths are allowed but no major cannons can be killed unless it is part of the story. Also once your character is dead that's it they can't come back. So you may want to think about it before you kill your character off. You can't kill another person's character off unless you have worked it out with them and been given permission by an admin/mod.
22. Please keep your signatures to a reasonable size, 500 x 250 MAX! If we see anyone with it large it will be removed.
23. You must wait till you have been accepted before you start to role play, if you break this rule those threads will be locked. If you continue to RP after this you will get a warning.
24. And the most important rule of all is..... HAVE FUN!
Well these are the rules, see that wasn't so bad now was it? Also I want it to be made clear that this site in no way owns any of the original characters to the book and any related material.
OH and before I forget - The warning system:
1st offence = warning 2nd offence = banning for 3 days 3rd offence= perminant ban.
